You should make this rebloggable

conservativewoman:

Let me fill you in on something.

I am a conservative, not a Republican. Now, between the two parties, I end up voting Republicans because they at least are closer to my beliefs than any Democrat would ever be. And they at least pretend to love their country. But unless they are representatives from the Tea Party crowd, I have just as much issues with Republicans as I do with Democrats.

There are Republicans who hold conservative values, who fight for change, who do what’s right. (Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin…For the record, many “established” Republicans hate the Tea Party because they upset their cozy power.) We’re seeing more conservatives coming out in the last four years because of the extremist policies by this president. But there are plenty of people in the Republican party who only want to hold power, who are moderate, almost liberal in their beliefs. I am not a fan of John Boehner for instance.

So the words of some established Republicans don’t mean too much to me to be honest. In the case of this video, many of these interviews occurred during the 2012 Republican Primaries. All of the other Republicans were trying to get the nomination so of course they’re going to point out flaws they feel Mitt Romney has. As soon as he won the nomination, they all got behind him.

This reminds me Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Democratic Primaries. Hillary and her husband were BRUTAL on Obama, yet as soon as she lost the nomination, she started kissing his ass. Now he throws her under the bus for the atrocity that was Benghazi, and she’s letting him. Sounds about right.

As for his “flip flopping,” I’ll say this. In the case of abortion, Mitt Romney was Pro-Choice until he was the governor of Massachusetts and was presented with an abortion law. Once he was faced with the actual power to take human life, he looked to his deep Mormon faith and realized that he couldn’t be Pro-Choice with a clear conscience. He had a genuine change of heart, and he ended up signing the least offensive bill since he had a Democratic State Congress who would have vetoed him anyway.

The other stuff doesn’t defy the fact that he is a business man and knows how to run a business and a state. Obama was a “community organizer” who got elected into Congress on a fluke when his campaign committee brought up the opposing candidate’s marital affairs and other made up scandals. When he was in the Senate, the only thing he did was make sure to vote PRO-PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION over and over. The other times? He merely voted “present.” He does not know how to run a country, and it’s clear through the fact that he tripled our deficit and outspent every single president from George Washington to George W. Bush.

Social issues don’t concern me this election. The economy and our national security does. Mitt Romney isn’t going to go around and try and kiss our enemies’ asses and try to get them to “like us.” He has a brain and knows they’re never going to like us, so they might as well fear and respect us.

I’m not paying $4 on average for gas anymore. I’m not going to settle for spending my years with a Bachelor’s and Masters degree working in retail. I’m not going to live in fear that our President will help the Muslim Brotherhood make its way into our nation to try and instigate Sharia Law while they mutilate and terrorize their own women in their country. I am not living in a liberal’s Socialist/Communist country.

If you want to, you can take your pick of other nations around the world who are. I’m not letting this country turn to shit like them.

And even if I took to heart what other politicians have to say about this man, you cannot ignore his good heart. You can’t ignore the fact that he donated his entire inheritance to charity. You can’t deny that he is a self-made business man whose track record is 98% successful. You can’t deny that he denied salary during his time as the governor of Massachusetts. You can’t deny that he shut down his entire company to go in search of one of his employee’s missing daughters. He’s a good man, and his generosity outshines Obama’s selfishness and incompetence…not to mention his blatant disregard for this country’s tradition and values.

So your little YouTube video isn’t going to change my mind about who I’m voting for on Tuesday. And if it changes anyone else’s mind, well, then they never really thought for themselves or did their own research in the first place.

For love of my country.

THANK YOU. I’m so sick of people saying “oh you’re just a Republican, derp. You must love all da Republicans!” I’m a registered independent, but the Democratic party is about as far away from my views as you can get. I support the Tea Party, but seeing as that’s not an actual party, I vote closest to my values (mostly Republicans and some Libertarians).
