I’m not sure if you’re genuinely confused about this or just sea-lioning, but on the off-chance you’re sincere:
The quote is about people being complacent and accepting of Nazis in social settings, much in the same way that rapists feel validated by rape jokes. It’s about denying Nazis social validation and acceptance, which is a good and necessary thing.
It’s about putting up a stink at family gatherings by refusing to share a meal with uncle Harry after he makes a joke about “some people” needing to be gassed. It’s about standing up to members of your social group spouting antisemitic or racist shit. It’s about challenging them. And yes, trying to talk them out of it is a valid way to do that. But if you can’t, cut ties.
It means that if you are complacent, you are part of the problem.


So we’re supposed to give them a victim mentality that will sooner or later evolve into a revenge fantasy and culminate in actual revenge and criminal behavior? 
You really don’t understand that all this “punch Nazis” jargon does is making evil grow in hiding, until it’s strong enough to fight back?

And…you are aware that they already are violent? That they kill people as is? Remember the Zwickauer Terrortrio? Punching them doesn’t make them worse than they already are - Nazis are always violent because their very ideology already is violence.
But you know what punching them achieves? It makes them afraid. It makes it so that they don’t dare to try to climb on the herring barrel and shout shit at crowds. It makes it harder for them to recruit followers openly. Punching Nazis and openly ridiculing and shaming them makes sure their bullshit doesn’t get normalised, aka suitable for polite conversation which, as I said, the quote is about.

 In highschool I wonder why they pushed college on
 so hard instead of trades? They didn't tell me union
 plumbers can make $1,600 a week with no OT and NO
 us
 DEGREE....or that truck drivers can make 6 bands a
 week if they buy their own truck w/NO DEGREE? OR
 that traveling welders can make 100k a year with NO
 DEGREE. they made it seem like college was the
 only way to be successful.

Bruh, trades are in high fucking demand right now too. Between now and 2020 there are suppose to be 300,000 more jobs and that’s just for welder.
Shit, they’ll pay for you to learn how to do it.

I just finished high school and got a untility job in a factory and I have almost no experience. They’re gonna train me for everything plus it has full health benefits.
Trades are fucking great.

My husband is a welder, and is very very good at it. He got hired by a locksmith company pretty much just by walking in and going “Yes I can weld.”
All of the other guys there were great at locksmithing, but none of them were trained welders, and they needed someone who could build custom doors and frames. 
They trained him to do lock stuff too, so now he can weld AND pick locks. 
The owner of the company, when he handed out Christmas bonuses, looked at him and went “Dude we literally cannot fire you because we’d be screwed so here’s your bonus and also we’re giving you a raise.”
Welders are in desperate demand.

There are construction projects here in Portland, OR that sit around taking months and months longer than they need to because there aren’t enough trades people for all the projects.  It’s interesting to drive past the same apartment building where nothing seems to be happening for like a year, and then suddenly in a few weeks it all seems to finish up at once.


I see these posts a lot but I always wonder which trades have a lot of women and/or are friendly to women wanting to enter them? This is super fucking classist because a lot of these items listed are popular foods for poor families and families that live in food deserts. Get fucking real. Maybe spend like 5 minutes off your high horse so you can actually see why these items are so popular to give children.
They are cheap. They are accessible. They are favored by kids. They are easy to eat. Have fun making your kids live on rice and beans instead of giving them age-appropriate foods. Parents not giving their kids enough vegetables is not fucking child abuse and it does not mean being vegan is healthy for them. Most children put on vegan diets suffer deficiencies with permanent effects on their health and can effect their growth and learning. Willingly depriving kids of nutrients they NEED and forcing an ideology on them is child abuse. Fuck this post and fuck everyone who reblogged this uncritically.

Honestly, the only truly “unhealthy” (lacking in any nutritional value) thing I see here is the soda. Like, sure, there can be a lot of sodium and fat in the others, but 1) those are only bad in excess and 2) all the foods still have other nutrients that kids need (protein, iron, carbs, B12, vitamin D, calcium, etc.).
