Bad, Crying, and Internet: Today at 4:12 PM
I've always wanted to get good at art. I was really bad at it in school, though... And so even when I thought it was an amazing talent I gave up on it. Years
passed and I still never bothered with it. Until I met a buddy on the internet. He was such a nice guy, so kind to others and encouraging. I told him that I wanted to get
good at art, but I didn't believe that I could... And for the 7 years I knew him he always pushed me to do it. I practiced and practiced thanks to his encouragement, and
no matter what I drew he always had something nice to say. When I first started drawing I drew a Chibi Snorlax and Dragonite side-by-side because Snorlax is the
Pokemon that I am most like, and Dragonite is my favorite Pokemon. Shortly after I sent the drawing to him, and he thought of it as the coolest thing ever, he passed
away. I was looking through old sketchbooks earlier and seen the drawing and started crying. I'm not necessarily sad over his death anymore, but I looked back on it
and I know not only did he make me the artist I am today... he also made me the person I am today. He had such a big influence on me and so this drawing will forever
be special to me because it makes me think of him. The drawing kinda takes on new meaning for me, I'm the Snorlax and he's the Dragonite. Dragonite is a Pokemon
that is so wholesome and nice in a way that no one sees. It flies around and saves drowning people in the ocean... And that's what he is to me. He saved me and
ignited my biggest hobby. No one else is going to know about that, but jeez man, he was such a good person. Much love for him.
