He’s a long way from where he was on that Monday night,” Vernon said of Shaizer’s Dec. 4th injury against the Cincinnati Bengals. “He’s much better, but we’ve agreed to keep his progress private until he’s ready to share where he’s at.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just two days after Shazier’s injury, the linebacker had spinal stabilization surgery. Since then, Shazier has been placed on injured reserve, but has attended two team games, as well as the practice facility in a wheelchair. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “We are riding with that guy,” head coach Mike Tomlin said of Shaizer. “He is strong.
