Memes, 🤖, and The Bridge: they have no idea what it is like to lose home at the risk of never finding home again have your entire life split between two lands and become the bridge between two countries first generation immigrant rupi kaur 💔❤Poem by @rupikaur_ Repost @palemooonliight ・・・ "My heart feels so heavy right now I hardly get any sleep anymore just thinking about everything is going on right now. Every time I get on social media there's always bad news, innocent people getting killed, families being separated, people being victims of racism. I can't wrap my head around it. Seeing people judge others by their race, color, religion, sex preference. No one has the right to judge others who do absolutely no harm,no one has the right to judge others not knowing their struggles and what they sacrifice. It hurts so much seeing so much evil so much hate... seeing the most vulnerable people scared is so heart breaking. Why can't we love each other? Care for each other? Look after each other? Why can't we let all this ideas of being better than others go? Why can't we stop being so greedy and heartless? What is the point of living if we only live for ourselves ? Why can't we lift people up instead of pushing them down? Why can we listen and understand instead of judging and pointing fingers? My heart aches for others and I only hope there will be a day when love and compassion overpowers all."💛 bekind compassion loveeachother toughts myhearthurts beselfless loveforall loveoverfear lifeistooshort helpingothers peace makeamericaloveagain equality immigrants wereallhumans rupikaur makeachange fightforwhatsright

Complex, Memes, and Shazam: @dc__eu - Always the same complain about the DCEU Superman: "That's not Superman that Snyderman" "This Superman is emo" "not muh Superman" "I want my Superman to save cats out of trees, not be a complex character with depth and an actual character arc!" "Why can't WB take Superman back to the Reeve days?" They did that over a decade ago. It was horrifically stale and flopped. Real talk you know if the DCEU Superman infuriates you so much...don't go see the movies. It's not hard. No one's forcing you to see them. Go watch the old Reeve's (R.I.P.) Superman movies or Superman Returns. The DCEU Superman is the best and most accurate incarnation of the character. He's not some outdated and overpowered Gary Stu in red trunks like the alleged Superman "fans" (let's face it, they only think they know all things Superman because they watched an old movie) wanted him to be. He was raised by humans and as a result, he thinks like we do. He acts like we do. Sometimes he knows what to do. Sometimes he doesn't. He'll struggle to get back up but he will because he knows he has to. You can like Reeve. You can like Hoechlin. You're entitled to your opinion but just know that there's more to Superman than cracking jokes, smiling, and "sway" and as far as I'm concerned they all missed the point of the character. Don't believe me? Fine. Watch JLU, read the New 52 Superman, Action Comics Rebirth, Whatever Happened To The Man of Tomorrow, Secret Origins, Superman: The Man of Steel by Byrne, Superman: Earth One, Jurgens era of Superman, Superman: For Tomorrow, and then come back to me with the whole "Cavill is nothing like Superman but Hoechlin and Reeve are" statement. Learn to accept different versions of the character. Oh, and stop spreading misinformation that the other guys are based on the comics. They're not because in all my years of reading comics, Superman doesn't act like that. Never has. They are original characters at best and are basically more in line with SHAZAM than they are Superman.

College, Disappointed, and Memes: nursing en straight AS will not help with keeping it together or quickly reacting as your patient crashes I used to be really hard on myself for not getting all A's undergrad. As a matter of fact, I'd get C's and be okay with it. As I got older, during my senior year, I really focused on bringing up my grades, not for the sake of getting A's, but because I knew I would have people's lives in my hands. It was my duty to know what I was doing for the safety of my patients, not for a letter on a piece of paper. We all know how hard nursing tests are, almost impossible to even get an A. Even after studying my a$$ off for hours , weeks, I wouldn't get the grade I wanted. I'd cry, stress, and feel like a total disappointment. But really, how much does the letter define you? Am I not as good of a nurse because I didn't have all A's? NO! The experiences nursing has given me to quickly react, to stay calm, to MOVE and critically think overpowers any test or grade I've ever had, and I thank this career for that. No grade can define you, but this career will do more than that. It will guide you to find yourself, make you stronger, more motivated, and more loving, even on the days you don't feel like you can. So keep your head up, keep going, and never compare yourself to others. You were made for this. ❤️Love, Courtney P.S. I hope to encourage those who feel discouraged-down-can't seem to get an A grade-are no longer an A student, with my story! Please support one another!
